🛩️ About the Vulcan B1 Bomber:

The Vulcan B1 bomber was first delivered to the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1956. Known for its distinctive delta wing, this aircraft played a crucial role during the Cold War era. It was then replaced by the improved Vulcan B2, which began its deliveries in 1960. The B2 version of the Vulcan bomber featured more powerful engines, a larger wing, an improved electrical system, and electronic countermeasures. Many of the B2s were also modified to accept the Blue Steel missile. The Vulcan, as part of the V-force, served as the backbone of the United Kingdom’s airborne nuclear deterrent during a significant portion of the Cold War. It was capable of both nuclear and conventional bombing missions, with the latter being utilized in Operation Black Buck during the Falklands War in 1982​
